Seeing Rose drunk actually breaks my heart.
And not because I’m worried about Rosemary sinking.
Rose was such a cool, collected, intellectual character. She could be such a powerful asset to their mission at hand, but instead, she’s sinking into a drunken spiral like her mother and Roxy.
Rose’s character development as of right now has come to a sickening halt soaked in alcohol. I really hope she turns around and becomes the Rose we knew and loved before.
i feel like vriska sort of idealizes john as that one friend who will always back her up no matter what she does wrong (when in actuality a friend will tell you when you need to back the fuck down) because he’s defended her before and she needed that when she was so vulnerable.
however she still thinks because of that one time he comforted her, that she is doing the right thing and people can forgive her no matter what boundaries she pushes as long as shes “sorry” and its “for the greater good”.
thats why shes going to be so broken up about this, completely unlike how she would react to tavros or any of the other trolls acting the same way as they did. she brushed it off just like she brushed off every chink in her armor as she grew up. but john was a new set of armor and when he told her what he really thought shes gonna have to start over again
she cares about him a lot and was always comforted by the idea of him caring about her a lot, but when new john showed up and didnt repeat the same blind kindness she was completely thrown off because people change. ghosts dont change.
